When Leicester City away shirts will be unveiled as a ‘frustration’ of the club’s address kit

Leicester City will unveil their two away strips for the new season in late July and late August respectively.

City unveiled their new home kit this week as the club enters its fifth year with Adidas as kit manufacturer, but the away kits are still a long way from being released. The third strip will only be released a few weeks after the start of the Premier League season, which kicks off on the August opening weekend.

Adidas have been bold in their designs for City’s away kits over the past few years, with previous efforts in mint green, onyx grey, burgundy and light pink. There is no word yet on the color of the shirts for the new campaign.

City have also announced that the new home shirt will go on sale in the club’s fanstore from Friday July 15, but there will be a limited number. Due to supply chain issues which have delayed the unveiling of the kit, not only for City but also for other Premier League teams, the club will not have a massive stock of shirts until the end of August.

The initial batch will be 5,000 adult shirts and 1,200 junior shirts. Of these, 2,000 will be available for pre-order between July 1 and July 8, with the rest on sale in the club shop from July 15. They will be priced at £45 for juniors and £63 for adults. For adults, this represents an increase of £3 over last season.

On the limited number of kits available, City said: “We understand the frustration this may cause fans and continue to work together. [with Adidas] find the best solution to make other shirts available as soon as possible. We apologize to supporters for the potential delay in initial availability.

City will wear their new home shirt for the first time in public in the pre-season friendly away game at OH Leuven on Saturday July 16. His first home outing will come in the showpiece game against Sevilla on Sunday, July 31.
